My daughter has been extremely happy with her first year (6th Grade). The level of involvement of the faculty and the consistent outreach to parents to keep us abreast of progress has been outstanding.
My daughter started at the Field School in 9th grade after attending public school. We are overwhelmed by the opportunities, the support and positive atmosphere that the Field School provides. My father came to Field 40 years ago as a high schooler. He loved it so much that he sent both my brother and me here, and I couldn't be more thankful for it. It was my first year after virtual learning, and it was simultaneously my first year of high school. Our child joined Field in 9th grade and we couldn't be happier with our choice. He has grown tremendously during his time at the school, flourishing academically and socially. We appreciate Field's academic rigor and hands-on approach to learning, alongside a culture of warmth and inclusion. It is a place where kids learn to think and grow, to connect with new people and new ideas. The faculty are incredibly committed to the school, the students, and to their craft, and it shows. Field has been an amazing experience from 7th to 12th grade. I have learned much and made many good connections with people outside of Field. As a senior with less than two months left, I am extremely grateful my parents made the right decision for me to attend the Field School. I have had the opportunity to attend Field for the past seven years, and now, I am just a few weeks from graduating. I feel so lucky to have been a part of an educational community that allowed me space to learn, grow, and explore my interests. People at The Field School are some of the nicest, most generous, and kind humans we have ever met. Field wants kids from all backgrounds (regardless of race, religion, gender, personal preferences et al) to feel welcome on campus. Their response to the pandemic was world class and we thank them for leading from the front! The administration could not have handled it any better than they did. The Field School sees my child for who he is. They encourage and challenge him. I am so happy with the opportunities he has been given to grow in class and outside of class.
