We recently had a flood due to a sewer back up, which in our insurance policy, it is covered. Most of the agents were great however, the adjuster that came to our home, basically tried to downplay the material that was on our floors. I am moving from my current insurance company due to cost. State Farm was recommended so I submitted all my documents to the Baxter MN office, and I was upfront and told them I had a claim in 2023 for minor water damage due to the historic, record breaking 88 inches of snow received. The person handling my quote, Brian, asked me more info on my house, how many bedrooms, etc. mind you, he knew I had a claim on my house. After paying in FULL one year home and six months auto I get a bill half way through my home policy for another $90.00 , they said it went up AFTER it was sent to the underwriters, is that not like going to a restaurant an ordering, eating a paying for the meal and getting to your car having someone from the restaurant approach you saying you owe more cause the price went up AFTER you placed your order. Guess I'll be shopping for home/auto ins.

I was in an accident that I was not at fault. I paid for the rental car out of pocket expecting to get reimbursed. I drive a 2019 Chevy Silverado I specifically ask to rent a truck while mine was being repaired because I need it for work. I submitted 2 receipts from enterprise rental to State Farm and they decided to pay only one. I called State Farm to understand why I wasn’t paid in full. The worst neighbor to have. Imagine your house gets smashed with hail and you are told there is no hail damage, after 3 separate contractors have verified it is full of hail damage. I am assuming state farm has a rule to not cover as much as possible. Seems the employees are paid to decline claims. If anyone else had a similar situation please reach out, there has to be a pattern to this behavior.

Been with State Farm several years and now this year they want to go up on car insurance every few months, no wrecks, tickets or anything my fault. Jan 8 paid 156, feb 8th paid 181 march paid 175, and letter I got in the mail for April bill is 181.

******** ******** BEFORE switching over to State Farm insurance (auto+home) I was told that my mortgage payment would not increase -- low and behold my mortgage bill went up $140/month. I would not recommend insuring even for a vacant property lot with State Farm. Wow. look at the reviews. Beware - you've been warned.

03-25-2024 Over 35 years with State Farm for Home Insurance I filed a claim with State Farm for a 1/8 inch crack my homes slab, I was assigned a adjuster and was told by her to get a plumbing company out and do a leak test to see if there is a leak, and one was found in the kitchen sink drain line, I have spent $ 2,310.00 to find the leak. After a quote to Tunnel and repair the leak I informed State Farm about what was found and the total for the repairs needed. After 25 years of an excellent driver with State Farm, I have my house my business, and my three cars insured with these loser company, State Farm I never was late on my payment in 25 years during the pandemic COVID-19.
