Used to really like state farm and had insurance with them for years. After a large rate hike moving to a new state, 3 yrs later I moved again for another large rate hike so went to another company offering much cheaper rates. Recently checked into them again... "like a good neighbor state farm is there", except they weren't and the online quote read "sorry for the inconvenience, online quotes not available in your area" near R******** *** Too bad state farm couldn't be there for me. :) may need to change their add.

Very poor insurance provider. Very strict regarding claims and most desk adjusters as well as field are very disrespectful & has very poor communication. Also you pay monthly, But in a time of need they hardly issue money to help if any! 1/5 for sure.

Was hit by one of their insured: who was ticketed. They are refusing to pay damages and I'm going to have to sue them.

Have been going through state farm since 2004. In 2010 weatherization went through and put blown in insulation in all the walls and sealed them all in. I put a back door and 2 windows 1 in back and other was on the side in 2012. Replaced roof in 2019 they gave me 1700 and told me to hire a contractor but ended up in the hospital so the roof came out of my pocket because the claim lapsed 13000 now in 2024. State farm is telling me i have get my house sided or they will cancel my policy because they say because its not sided a... read more

Dear State Farm Insurance, I had been a loyal customer for over a decade until I sold my car at the end of June and cancelled my policy like any sane person would do. After almost a year of searching in this BS economy, I finally found the car I wanted within my budget that I will be purchasing tomorrow. The indepndant adjuster I was on the roof with told me State Farm is by far the worst company he works with. He said if I wanted to tarp the roof I would need to go get a tarp and do it myself, he said if I had any other company then SF he would be required to tarp it to prevent further damage. At the time of the incident the wind was blowing so hard it almost took my carport roof off, I laid on it in the pouring rain and put screws in it so it wouldn't damage my neighbors house. This is my second attempt. The SF app closed me out. SF totalled my car after an incident in a school drop off line. Another car came between 2 drop off lines and could have hit my child and bent my car door backwards. Their collision ctr charged too much, and denied a second estimate. They filed total loss. I kept my car,had it fixed for half the price. They said I need a salvage title then rebuilt. My car is 18 yrs old with 230k miles. It should be an "As Is" title. State Farm is raising home deductibles so high you can’t use it. When you need to use it, your claim is denied and there is no recourse. Requested an adjuster come to my house, request denied. I have had auto with them for 48 years, home coverage 32 years. I’m done. Not what they used to be.
