The absolute worst insurance you can have. Blatantly unethical and unfair
I am utterly appalled by State Farm’s mishandling of my auto insurance policy. When I signed up, I was transparent and meticulous in disclosing every relevant detail, including a two-year-old ticket for unknowingly driving with a cancelled license and my adopted daughter's accident. Despite my efforts and assurances from their agent that everything was in order, State Farm still chose to cancel our policy after just one month. Their customer service is offensive. I have a claim that is a year and a half old for a tree that fell on our house. I have lost count how many times I have had to call in to get mo he from the claim. I have uploaded pictures and documents for them 3-4 times for each part of the claim because they have switched agents on is 4 times and they lose the information. They never call back. State Farm is absolutely horrible when a crisis hits. I had my car assessed for damage after a hail storm, and the same day they deemed the damage a total loss. Later that day, I received a call from the claims department saying I had authorization to have a rental car for a maximum of 7 days — which was set to expire in the 7th day. (The State Farm claims department shortened the window to cover my rental from 30 days to 7 days.) State Farm then told me which places to contact for a rental vehicle. I am at a complete loss. Their slogan is "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there." I received no help on a claim of car damage to which I was the victim but State Farm claimed it was my fault going against the police report and then guess what...they want me to pay an extra $2000 to my insurance policy to which they only paid $190 to the other party. If I could give zero stars, I would. Was just informed by state farm that they will not renew my insurance policy because of my son's "driving record". This record includes no moving violations or tickets of any kind. It does include two roadside assistance claims over a 2-year period for his 1999 Toyota Corolla. A service for which we pay extra on the policy. They also point to an "accident" he had. This incident was a bumper tap at a stop light. This is in review of Matt Roe State Farm in Syracuse, NY. Carrie M. J*****-Salisbury is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Apparently there is no one nationally to talk to regarding me being shorted money after a policy cancellation. Sure, I’m technically not a customer anymore, but having to chase down my money is a bad way to do business. State farm is absolutely terrible left me stranded w a flat tire for hours nobody would help me. there offices never returned my 12 phone calls as there only open mon-thurs for a short time when I called the agent Amanda would not listen to my complaint as she continuously interrupted me w rude behavior I would never trust Jake Asbury state farm they are incompetent people
We’ve been with State Farm for approx. 40 years and until recently we’ve never had a problem. Let me preface by saying our agent and his staff are outstanding individuals who have assisted us in this issue in a very stellar manner. No complaints with them. We have paid our premiums on-line once we changed from snail mail without any issue until recently.
