Between June 21st and the 22nd my husband and I recently had sewer backup in our basement which we were covered for. I placed a complaint against an agency to State Farm in June 2024, and I have been calling to follow up on my complaint several times, receiving different information from different representatives and different numbers to call. I had a policy with an agent Rigo Delatorre in Elk Grove. I called to cancel back in January 2024, I requested to get a refund for the remaining 8 months. The man on the phone said he had put in the cancellation and I’d get a refund mailed to me. I never received my check. And now they said since I never emailed in my request, they won’t refund me my money! What a scam. Avoid this place if you want an honest business practice. They ignored my email after I called them on their shady business practices.
Avoid at all cost!!! Someone stole thousands of dollars in tools from my apt on Sept 4fh it's almost been a year and they have yet to tell me wether they will except my claim or deny it and June 1 they emailed saying an attorney is deciding whether to accept or deny claim and they should have an answer soon but it's been two months since that was said. I own a hemp company that is also a bar selling beer and wine. I was insured through John Shaffer State Farm for both my restaurant policy and an auto policy. I am opening a new location in Tallahassee and prior to opening I had been working with Cade since May to get insured for our new location. State Farm is all about your money and nothing about service. If it's anywhere near 5 pm you are directed oversees to deal with idiots that have no authority or knowledge to help you.
They keep getting higher every month. Time to look elsewhere
If you need insurance, steer clear of State Farm. They are the worst insurance company out there. We have had State Farm insurance for almost 40 years without one claim, and when we had 1-1/2" hail hit our area, State Farm has refused to pay for the damage to our roof and skylights. We've protested as far up the chain of command as we could, only to have them say, "Sorry, nothing we can do." Useless insurance, 1 hour long queue, unhelpful desk adjusters, unhelpful representatives. Never get statefarm. U*** or t******** is better.
