I purchased homeowners insurance and auto insurance through State Farm. I paid both policies in full homeowners for one year and auto insurance for six months. After reporting home invasion, cyber, bullying, malicious, acts, vandalism, trespassing, real estate, scams, real estate, agent, theft of my house, key, Realestate agents, leaving the lockbox open on my front porch the key in my door a buyer backing out of a contract. The company is prompt to send adjusters to process a claim and the agents are responsive. Everything ends there because after a claim is the rude and incompetent folks in processing must turn around the claim and issue checks. I have a $27,000 claim and due to the incompetence of the claims processor I had to pay contractor for work completed and after 90 days I am waiting on the 6th check to be issued. The staff did not carry my "old" plan to my new car when purchased August of 2024. I specifically asked for this to happen because, of course, i wanted all my same coverages. I've been learned from past (bad) experiences to have these extras on my plan. After being reassured several times that it had carried over exactly, i found out a couple weeks ago, that they did not do that. Horrible. My home was hit by lightening & the experience was absolutely horrible. Home claims dept is a circus at State Farm. Phone staff acted like they were my claims agent. I was lied to & talked to like I was not human. My agent noted she had talked to me & denied my claim & hadn’t even spoke w me. I requested a manager who told me 1 thing then never called me back and he lied completely. They have staff calling on personal phones & left hand has no clue what the right is doing. Had tornado damage on 4/2/2025. State Farm sent adjuster on 4/9/2025 and examined the damage with our contractor. Got original estimate on 4/25. It was a total joke. Had significant roof and siding damage. So I contracted many repairs myself at my cost because there was no follow up for two months. I sent to State Farm 100s of photos and repair/replacement estimates and invoices. The adjuster would not respond to my emails and phone calls and actually lied to me when he did respond. If i could give ZERO stars, i would. I had a bathroom faucet cause sudden and significant water damage while i was away for the weekend. The professional home inspection i had done a few months prior doesn’t mention that faucet, so it was obviously a sudden and unexpected thing. So I filed my FIRST and ONLY claim, and it took these sloths over a month before they FINALLY decided to NOT pay for ANY of the damage, citing “wear and tear” of the faucet. I am filing this review to share my direct experience with State Farm. After purchasing my home, I discovered major issues including flooding, septic failure, and structural concerns. I filed claims with State Farm, provided documentation such as photos, inspection reports, receipts, and contractor invoices, and cooperated fully with multiple adjusters. Involved in an auto accident with one of their customers on 8/23/25, who was found at 100% fault on 8/26/2025. My car was towed to one of their repair shops on 8/28/25 for determination if it is repairable or not and I was told that no determination has been started because they could not verify the title as of 9/8/25, even though the VIN number was correct. I have been with them several years and liked the people personally then came claim time. Lots of run around and not being able to get in contact with people in a timely manner. I called to ask questions about contractors and wasn't able to get info needed. Had a new roof put on and it wasn't as good a shingle as previously put on. As far as I know it looks good. I feel like state farm should have been more involved and as quick as they are about pulling money out of my account.
