My husband and I have been with State Farm for about 20 years. We have a homeowners and multi-car policy. For YEARS State Farm has been charging me (a female) SIGNIFICANTLY higher rates than my husband, even though I have a perfect driving record. Always a different excuse. It's the car, the model, the car's color, it's too old, it doesn't have safety features, a high risk zip code, ad infinitum. This is not to mention my rate has gone up nearly EVERY 6 months. Company is a professional at wasting everyones time, after months of delays on getting money to a shop, they will stop paying on your rental and blame you and the shop for the delays they caused. Company has no structure and refuses to adhere to any of the promised schedules they create. I.E. not showing up to calls/meetings they schedule, promising to not send out an adjust but one shows up on a random day with no notice any ways, putting a 3 week hold on a check, etc. Your life would be in safer hands goinig uninsured then... read more

If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. I was in an accident with a State Farm insured person, who claimed responsibility immediately. After speaking with their agent, Shanice *******, I no longer believe I will be treated justly. Ms. ******* was rude and outright indignant because I wanted to know how long their insured had to respond to the claim. I've had st farm insurance since I was 16, I'm now 76. We had a car accident and ST FARM totalled our car. We talked to the main office and our agent Waiting for our check for 2 months. Full coverage and no car. Finally bought a new car to find our they kept the insurance on the totaled car "because they didn't know it was totaled". Now we can't get a refund for insurance we didn't have a car for. "Because our agent doesn't know how". Not aimed at Dan Bane but State Farm as a whole. I just received a call from Dan Bain stating that State Farm was raising my deductible because I had two claims in 4 years. One claim was a gutter claim that was just under $2000 that they denied. I can't remember the other. I must note that I JUST referred my buddy to State Farm. This guy has five cars a trailer and very nice home sitting on a couple of acres. State Farm did insure him. I've been using State farm for well over thirty, maybe even fourth years. I am writing to request immediate assistance regarding my policy cancellation and refund. On October 10, 2025, I contacted the local office (Tim Broyles, 34 Oak Street, Jackson, GA 30233) to cancel my policy effective that same date. I was informed that the request would be submitted to underwriting for approval, and once approved, a refund would be issued. Sudden water damage due to a line leak behind the refrigerator on hardwood floor. Adjuster came out and found a small spot where there had been long term damage from the water dispenser on the front of the fridge. This spot was not part of our claim but there was severe warping where the sudden damage occurred. Adjuster used this little spot to say ALL the damage was long term even though he clearly knew it was not. Basically, lied about what the claim was about to deny coverage.
