There is a reason they are not BBB accredited. Vehicle was totalled, other driver was at fault. State Farm corporate, not local office, has taken over 3 months. Still not settled, still won't acknowledge that the CCC One valuation report is garbage. Undervalued the vehicle by 3 thousand dollars, saying it's not "dealer condition". It was two months off the dealer lot... and I've seen way worse dealer condition cars than this one. Inaccurate billing on accounts. Recently checked on loan for life Insurance and to check how much it had matured. Most life insurance has voluntary repayment benefits. I've paid a additional 15.00 per month extra for several years. How is my amount 108.53 owed in interest when extra payments was paid throughout 2025 for 180.00. Whatever you do please stay away from State Farm, and if you do file a claim expect the delay, deny and defend strategy. If they don’t pay your claim prepare for a battle to get it off of your claim record. By refusing to do this it’s hard to switch to another insurance company thereby holding you hostage and charging a higher rate. Their customer service, claims agents and even my local agent are worthless.
I would give negative stars if I could, 1 star is generous. These people dragged my claim out for 5 weeks until determining total loss. And then wouldn’t pay my body shop for storage. They said I should have known because they sent me a document stating they would not pay for unreasonable charges. Can I leave 0 stars? Their client him me, he was at fault, the deemed my car as totaled and gave me a super tiny offer that didnt even begin to cover the cars value. I gave them proof after proof that there estimate wasn't right. Dint answer my messages, couldn't get ahold of anyone by phone......when I finally did, they said they literally didnt care, they weren't raising the settlement. Canceled my road side assistance program. My son and I had 2 totally separate policies at State Farm. They won’t allow me to apply any discounts to his policy; like my defensive driver discount. , but then combine the policies when it’s convenient for them to take away a service. used road side service 5 times in 3 years on 2 cars. State Farm’s handling of my claim has been a masterclass in corporate negligence.
