Absolute worst insurance company I have ever had to deal with, do yourself a favor and hire a lawyer off the bat if you’re hit by one of their customers.
Too bad i can not give zero stars. Long-time State Farm homeowners policyholder in Elfrida, AZ. Discovered significant water damage behind the walls from a hidden slow leak. Filed a claim, but it was denied due to ‘neglect’ and gradual seepage over time. The leak was concealed and not detectable through normal use—no prior signs or warnings existed. Hung up on me as I was needing to make a claim and asked to speak to a person when the agent said he wanted me to do it all via text and app… they even refused to talk to my insurance company to take care of my vehicle their driver crash into because they insure 89 year old drivers!

Throughout this process, the at-fault/insured party on the company’s side never filed a claim, yet I was still instructed to pursue the matter and continued doing so with little to no guidance. I was hit by a someone with State Farm insurance. After I did all the work to turn in, because they don't send actual adjustors out, they didn't even wait to receive my okay on the payout. They issued a check, even after telling me they would do digital pay. After not receiving my payment I called and was told they had a system wide IT issue and might be fixed in a week. Canceled insurance and they stole payment after canelization of insurance.
At the local office here in El Paso Tx, (Terry Chaumont) I was offered a good quote for my cars and home. A week latter I received a bill of almost 300 dlls. on the mail. When I called the Chaumont office they didn't know why State Farm was charging me that amount. I had to wait for almost a week for them to call me back. The reason Chaumont gave me it was becuase the office was using a dated program and that they never received an update from the main office. I pay $150 a month for full coverage even though I have no accidents no DUIs ever. I had my first car accident last November and State Farm has been a total joke. I did not get sufficient help throughout my claim.
