We live in Knox County and pay tuition to send our son to ORHS because we believe it to be the best school in this area, both academically and otherwise. The selection of Honors, AP, and Dual Enrollment Classes is outstanding. Also, they don't have the horrendous block scheduling that Knox County has.
Oak Ridge High School has a lot to like about it. From its superior orchestra and band, to its 2nd place national robotics team. School spirit is in high regard, and the teachers care about your future. The only thing needing change is a school sponsored rowing team.
I loved my time there and would not change a thing. The atmosphere was great and the teacher's were very well prepared.
This high school has an excellent academic program. There are a number of AP, dual-enrollment, and advanced classes to choose from to prepare yourself for college. There is a large variety of classes as well, including performing arts, technology-based, science, math, social studies, and more. One downside is the strict dress code policy.
I love my school because it's my home and it's what I know. Compared to other surrounding schools we are one of the best and one of the best schools in Tennessee. After awhile it gets old but I will never let anyone disrespect my school in front of me. It's just an Oak Ridge thing I guess. Oak ridge high school is an amazing academic school. The teachers are absolutely excellent in terms of their ability to help students.
I love how I have grown at ORHS and the classes I have taken. I feel ready to go off to college next year. It is one of the best schools in the area!
Oak Ridge High School, a school where teachers who enjoy challenging their students are present around every corner but are willing to tutor whenever. The education offered at my high school far surpasses those of the other public schools in my area, largely due to the proximity and involvement of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I believe that Oak Ridge High School produces and cultivates academically talented and ambitious students.
