Oak Ridge High School has a large selection of classes and extracurricular activities available to students. The teachers are almost all great at teaching and being open to students. ORHS pushes students to take Honors and AP classes, so most students will be prepared for college. The administration is not great, announcements are not relayed well and there are only 4 guidance councilors for the entire student body. Said students number over a thousand and are very diverse. Oak Ridge high school adaquately prepares students for college with its wide range of honors and AP classes; however, the counselors fail to provide proper information to the students. In result of the lack of counseling, students are prepared for the academic level of college, but lack of the preparation in any other aspect of college. The administration as a whole at Oak Ridge high school is a huge issue.

I've had an incredible experience here at ORHS. The vast number of subjects they offer and different levels of classes have allowed me to complete many courses and obtain college credit. The teaching staff, for the most part, is stellar. The English department is incomparable to any other in the TN area, just because the teachers devote their time to preparing us for success in higher studies. Theres tons of opportunity there and all you need to do is take advantage of it. The teachers are there to help you succeed. I don't regret my education at Oak Ridge High School because what you find is that you were seriously much more prepared for college than most students in college. College isn't necessarily a breeze but it is significantly less harder because of how well Oak Ridge High School prepares you. Don't take it for granted. It's a privilege to go to this high school.

I've gone to this school for all 4 years. My sister has gone here, and same as my mother. The education they provide is amazing. They prepare you for college if you choose to go, and if you don't they still prepare you for life after school. I love the options they provide as to the class, clubs, and food.

Oak Ridge was extremely diverse and offered a multicultural experience for students. It also offered a high level of academic integrity and excellence that I have taken with me to college.

Great school! Lots of AP and dual enrollment classes. Students are generally friendly. Great chorus program! Plenty of after school activities to choose from. Teachers are friendly and helpful.

An huge availability of classes and honors, AP classes. Very big school. I love that the staff are super ffriendly, and are willing to stay for each individual student's needs.

I felt proud of my education at Oak Ridge. We're one of the best in the area and most of the teachers (a certain geometry teacher is most definitely excluded) are extremely dedicated to their students. The AP history teachers are all amazing, and definitely prepared me for college more than anything else. The administration is alright--a little too strict.
