The education offered at my high school far surpasses those of the other public schools in my area, largely due to the proximity and involvement of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I believe that Oak Ridge High School produces and cultivates academically talented and ambitious students.

There is a balance like any school with great teachers, average teachers, and a few that would be better in another profession. Overall, teachers seem to care and support student learning.

The teachers have exhibited the utmost care for our students' success, readily communicating their expectations and any issues that arise in the classroom, generally displaying a great deal of fariness in dealing with the students, and consistently demonstrating a strong knowledge of their material.

A wide variety of sports are promoted at ORHS, and there are a tremendous amount of non-athletic extracurricular opportunities that feed students' needs for social interaction, intellectual stimulation, and artistic expression; meanwhile, the teacher-sponsors for these activities give a great amount of personal time to providing the best possible experiences for our students.
