I have been with State Farm for more than 20 years. I have both car and home insurance with the company. My wife and I recently moved into a new house which has a shed. Within a month, they have cancelled our home insurance because an underwriter didn't like the look of the roof on the shed. The roof has some moss growing on it. They said I had 2 options, I was to replace the roof or take the shed down. We had State Farm Insurance. In May 2024 our area was hit with a hail storm. We even had pictures of the size of the hail. Over 60 percent of the homes in our subdivision are receiving new roofs due to the damage. We had two different companies come out and look at our roof and took over 100 pictures of it. Chalked the roof with signs of hail damage. We put a claim in and State Farm they had an adjuster call us he stated he would have to have someone else come out due to the height of the roof. State Farm has informed us that they will not approve the additional cost for the roof that was repaired to code or the siding that still need to be replaced. We have asked 4 different times for something in writing so that we can pursue this in a different matter. The claims adjuster Dana S**** told me that because this is a commercial policy (a Rental) we don't need to pull permits and because the siding is just a repair, it does not need to be done to code. I had canceled insurance from State Farm last month. Both my new insurance company and myself emailed separate cancellation to my State Farm agent. Today I get a phone call from said agent asking me why and on the same day they took my overpriced insurance out of my account which was not supposed to happen since I had cancelled insurance with them. Their insurance is overpriced and they always had a habit of taking your money well after the supposed due date which was always unprofessional.

If you get hit, and your car is totalled. I hope that the person who hit you, does not have State Farm. It's been 2 months now, and we still haven't received the check that we were promised. We had to buy a new car ourselves. I will never use State Farm ever.

I canceled my policy. Way too high of a cost! and have to wait 7 to 10 business days after waiting thirty to forty five days after cancellation for my $500 refund, Say No to STATEFARM!

Had major shingle and roof damage due to a hailstorm. Have pictures to document damage and have talked to several roofing companies. All said the damage was major and insurance would replace the roofing. Now, as I watch several neighbors get roof replacements thru their insurance companies, I am left holding the bag! State Farm says there is no damage to my shingles and rejected my claim! Have been with them for 20 years and never filed a claim. Worse In surrance ever ,very bad.They don't attend the claims and they take a lot time to resolve the claims.No explain to the costumers nothing ,the agents only answer the fhone, but no explain nothing,my experience is very bad.Iam waiting for the adjuster, but they need to investigate ,never finish,still waiting (2 months an half).

I got State Farm in July . I put automatic payment and I was in constant communication with the agents of the insurance by email and I provided all the information requested . In September 19th I had a car accident but my insurance cancelled the policy in August, without previous notification and the apparently reason was because I did not provided information of my spouse and copy of my driver license but when to get my insurance I provided all the information about my driver license and I don't have spouse.
