State Farm insurance agent Adam Hancock, Montrose, CO. I had separate business with Mr. Hancock, where he charged me double and disregarded my concerns. My guess is that he would carry the same traits into his insurance practice. If you’re about to make a decision with your money, and Mr. Hancock, I would double check the fine print. My building’s master policy is with Statefarm. My unit was flooded due to plumbing backup from garage. Statefarm accepted responsibility so my personal insurance policy didn’t. Statefarm took months to pay. They didn’t pay the full amount that numerous claims adjusters and contractors quoted for repairs. Statefarm wouldn’t even speak to me even after property manager and hoa told them to do so. I would not go through this company if you are new homeowner. I'm completely new to owning a home so I started a claim (under advisement of someone) but realized it was not needed, so I did not pursue it. They did not even contact the other party on the policy like I requested. He never received a phone call. This was in December of 2024. Recently, I got notice they are not renewing my policy. I had State Farm for both auto and home, for many years, 0 claims. Policy costs kept going up and up, and when I called the broker to discuss, they were not helpful. I finally decided to cancel my coverage, received an email confirmation that it was cancelled, and then 5 days later, I was billed through auto deduct again, for upcoming coverage (which was, of course, non existent). Required me to call AGAIN, and then be told it's now taken care of (again), and that I can wait 7-10 for a check.

i would give zero stars if it was an option. good luck getting an agent to do their job. so frustrating to talk to everyone in the office, meeting with someone in person, mulitple phone calls, emails, texting, and still they can not submit the claim properly. i have to babysit and call to make sure the job is done, and still not done. this has been going on for over 3 weeks.
Terrible claims handling and customer service! I was involved in an accident at the end of May and provided all info and witness names and phone numbers that day. Here we are almost 2 months later and I'm just not getting a letter that my claim made it to their subrogation department!! So now im out a very nice vehicle that was paid off, a new $600 monthly payment and my deductible! If that is the service you want then sign up for State Farm.
We had every line of insurance with State Farm, but not after today. Hail damage has resulted in my roof needing a total replacement. 3 inspectors who aren't with State Farm agree on this. Today, SF told me that my roof should be replaced, sure--but that they think it'll only cost $5,000 to do. Conveniently, that's about what my deductible is. Hit a deer and totaled my car over a month ago on my way home from work. I have to call and call for claim status and beg to get information on what's going on. Takes days sometimes for them to return my call. They drag everything out long as they can. Only takes 15 minutes for them to take your money tho lol. Maybe just me having bad experience but I would highly recommend staying away from state farm. Could give a -5 stars I would
