Scott Reardon, the agent in Tallahassee, called me on 7/11 and quoted me $178 for insurance on my newly acquired 2018 Toyota Avalon. I gave him my CC number, but when he sent me the information, the policy was for the 2016 Sentra that I had traded in for the Avalon. He said we could modify the policy, but the premium would increase. Based on this inept interaction, I stayed with F*** ****** and asked him to refund the $178. He said he did so and I would receive the refund within 48 hours. A week later I still have no refund.... read more

State farm is actually a scam and they will lie cheat and steal from you. So much to where they will say they lost your car or boat just to try to get out of a claim. This is only one thing they tried to do to me. Theyre refusing to pay a claim when a guy t boned me in a no passing lane while trying to overtake me. Completely there fault. Its leading to me losing my place of residence, losing my income, losing my family, and it is mentally traumatizing me. They are not quoting and applying charges correctly. Then when you try to get it corrected it's months until it is fixed. I asked for a quote was told $125 to the renewal and paid it. They turned around and credited that money and charged me MUCH higher for the car per month plus 6 days for the month it was bought to cover it. My bill went from $178 to $300. In an instant. After Being insured with State Farm in Lakeland at Brett Denney's office I got in an Accident earlier this year and they are canceling my policy, even after Raising my rates to double. By the way, this is my First Accident, and I am 58 years old. This is a disgrace and why the insurance companies are out of control. This is insane to me.

Terrible customer service. Switched to another insurer March 1 and by mid-April still have no refund and nothing but excuses. Not like a good neighbor.

My family and I switched over to State Farm a little over three years ago after being U*** auto insurance customers for over 20 years. We took a chance and thought we'd explore other options for coverage. State Farm denied my claim after one of the insured drivers hit my vehicle on the left passenger side and lied. I provided pictures, the State Farm agent, claimed she could not determine who was at fault. The car that hit me had my paint on their bumper and my vehicle had their paint on the passenger side of my vehicle, not hard to tell who hit who. State Farm is awful for homeowners and auto claims. Everything seemed fine until we had a claim. My daughter totaled her car (hit an air compressor that fell off a truck, other driver took off). We filed a claim and it took them 2 months to resolve it. We always had to call them and spent hours on hold multiple times. It was awful. A month later we had a water damage incident in our house. We had a water heater leak in a part of the house we don’t use often. Our granddaughter came to visit and used the shower and told us about how little hot water there was. We replaced the water heater and then realized the water damage to the floor. An inspector came out and called it neglect. Said we should be checking our water heaters to make sure they weren’t leaking. We’ve had household and car insurance with them for decades. Of course we weren’t helped by them.
