Yes, when I first got the auto and renters insurance. First of all the guy talk me into the renters insurance but he did not tell me that it was a certain amount nor did he tell that it only covered for certain amount. So they are not good when it comes to claims.

I had car insurance through state farm. I had to file a claim and the service was the worst you can imagine. The following are the issues: significant extensive delay in processing the claim and assigning the claim, lack of communication from claims team, communication of inaccurate information, lack of due diligence, lack of integrity in the process and the personnel involved. One of State Farm’s clients rear ended me. The person at fault has been outstanding and as helpful as they could possibly be. State Farm on the other hand has been a nightmare. The accident happened over two weeks ago and an estimate was written last week. Still no payment issued. Anytime I call to reach the claims handler she is not available. I have one call back from her and when I spoke to her she denied paying loss of value for my vehicle stating the vehicle is over 5 years old and doesn’t qualify. This is not accurate ... read more

i’m terribly disappointed that it’s takingt 24 hours for me to get help After a traffic accident. I would’ve had a car I am without auto rental or a human from state farm to assist me. Yesterday the agent hung up on my husband because the other driver was at fault. Today I got through to the claims agent who did not realize their microphone was on and I could hear them in their house and they did not answer that call or my voice but yet I think heard me then muted themselves?!!!!!

State Farm is a joke. Their client hit me when he turned on red as I slowed down to turn into a gas station. Sheriff even put that he failed to yield. They will pay 70% of my damages & made it incredibly hard to get in touch with anyone. Their only answer was I can have my insurance pay for the repair & they'll reimburse when it's decided. The guy on the phone literally argued with me that I had an obligation to yield to his client, who again, TURNED ON A RED LIGHT. State farms 1800 customer service line operators are the most rude, disrespectful people I have dealt with this year. Stay away from this company at all costs unless your suing them.

I think this company has excellent customer service people who put a friendly face on a racketeering business—a business that discriminates based on a socio-economic caste system and which requires insured persons to have an agent. All agents are franchised businesses which profit off of customers’ premiums, so it is a negatively reinforced system on all levels. State Farm has been the worst to work with on a claim. Have been in a 2 year battle with them for storm damage that caused water damage internally. My paperwork states " internal damage caused from external roof damage. External damage is not significant enough to cause internal damage " I'm not sure if they even know what they mean by that. If you are thinking about switching or using State Farm for your insurance agency, look elsewhere unless you like having your money taken from you every month only to have 0 coverage.

After State Farm tried to back charge me months for a error in quoting by one of their represnetatives, I informed them it would be tooo high for me and notified them that i would not be renewing my policy. In return, they went into my bank account and took the money they wanted for their mistake almost $500!! They vclaimed they would refund my money and sent me a check for a little over $100!
