Academy of Charter School offers a family like culture. The unity, due to its small size, enables students to connect more with teachers.
I like the fact that the teachers are very helpful and always teaching valuable lessons. The school itself does a very good job of keeping students on task but also involving a little bit of fun in there too. The environment is very safe and it Is very easy to make new friends at The Academy. Something I like the most at our school is the teachers though. They are very kind and always ready to help you when you need help.
The school helps to get prepared for college, they also help to get what you need and the skills you will need for college. They are open minded about any degree you’d like to go into.
The teachers were a saving grace during my time in this school because they cared for the students and establish a connections with them. The overall population of the school is very small. The food was bad because it was revolution food at the time. Also there is a great lack in resources and questionable decisions like turning the library into a " Summit" which is just a large room with empty book shelves (they initially had books but I don't know what they did with them). Well I first went to a small elementary school called Arapaho Ridge. This was a small school and the teaching methods were very different I didn't succeed very well while attending this school. Once I had gotten into 4th grade I was taken by my mom and dad to a school tour of The Academy. As soon as I stepped into those school doors I felt safe and at home. We have had a big change since I first started here. Most are for better, but we have lost some amazing teachers.
This school is very welcoming and the college prep is very helpful. This school has helped me a lot with learning many new things while also having fun. The teachers are very nice and are always ready to help you when you need it. The sports are easy to get connected with and most clubs and activities connect with each other well.
The Academy provided an excellent foundation with basic life skills as well as getting into university.
I have been at this school since 2nd grade. The teachers genuinely care about my education and my well-being. I am graduating with a few of the same people from 2nd grade.
