The teachers were a saving grace during my time in this school because they cared for the students and establish a connections with them. The overall population of the school is very small. The food was bad because it was revolution food at the time. Also there is a great lack in resources and questionable decisions like turning the library into a " Summit" which is just a large room with empty book shelves (they initially had books but I don't know what they did with them). One prevalent problem at the time was awful intern... read more
Well I first went to a small elementary school called Arapaho Ridge. This was a small school and the teaching methods were very different I didn't succeed very well while attending this school. Once I had gotten into 4th grade I was taken by my mom and dad to a school tour of The Academy. As soon as I stepped into those school doors I felt safe and at home. This school changed my life I went from having D's and C's to having A's and B's. I had found a new way of life I made so many new friends and to this day we are still fr... read more
We have had a big change since I first started here. Most are for better, but we have lost some amazing teachers.
This school is very welcoming and the college prep is very helpful. This school has helped me a lot with learning many new things while also having fun. The teachers are very nice and are always ready to help you when you need it. The sports are easy to get connected with and most clubs and activities connect with each other well.
The Academy provided an excellent foundation with basic life skills as well as getting into university.
I have been at this school since 2nd grade. The teachers genuinely care about my education and my well-being. I am graduating with a few of the same people from 2nd grade.
I have been here at the Academy since fourth grade. Since the school is very small it's like we are all a family. I love that part. I also love how dedicated they are to getting you into college. The only thing I would like to see change is the sports. They only focus on football and none of the other sports.
I've attended The Academy ever since I was in kindergarten. Granted, everyone you will speak to has their own story at The Academy. Speaking from a point of view that is the most general, this school is great. I felt safe attending my school, the academics are average. There are some very exceptional teachers and some that are plainly ok. Students are encouraged to move ahead in studies by taking AP or dual enrollment at the local Front Range community college, or if they need help teachers are obligated to stay with after s... read more
