I like how the school is kind of small, everyone knows each other and you have the possibility of getting small classes (unless you take Spanish). There are not a lot of clubs (DECA, FCCLA, FBLA, etc) or student involvement which kind of sucks. The school also is not very diverse compared to other schools.
Great school. Small but very family oriented. Both my kids go there. They are very attentive to college for all students. Highly recommended to us and we highly recommend it as well.
I love the people and tight culture there, however the administration should be more relaxed on rules such as mandatory lanyards.
This school provided me with many opportunities to be successful. Overall I had a positive experience and met many teachers who cared about my learning.
I had fun meeting new people at this school. It was a great size coming from a class of 10 students, everyone is really fun and always looking to help. The only thing I would change is the 7 period schedule where we are assigned homework everyday and don't have the time to complete since the day is so long and for the athletes who don't go home until after 8 o'clock.
I really enjoyed the staff and the classes. The teachers were all very knowledgable, kind, and willing to help. I also enjoyed the small school atmosphere. I transferred here my senior year and they had amazing programs to get me acquainted. Everyone knew that I was new and tried to help out, or tried to be my friends. The school also had a large number of foreign exchange students, making for great diversity. The sports teams, and the culture around them could have been better.
The Academy truly is a family. The teachers are always there to support and want to see nothing other than for you to succeed. The small size allows for students to be connected and really be there and know one another. Something that could use improvement is the amount of freedom the staff allows students. They do not begin to prepare us for the real world due to the fact that they "hold our hands" through most things.
I really enjoyed my time at The Academy because of the community. Everyone knows one another and there is a strong sense of community. Teacher are great and administration is easily accessible and friendly. Academics are a very important aspect to the school, and administration/teachers are dedicated for students to achieve a higher education or at least have a plan
The academy is a good school overall. The teachers are kind and care a lot about the students. The curriculum is fairly good and they work close with Front Range Community College providing a wide range of opportunities.
