Everything is close-knit. The teachers give one on one time to each student when needed, and the courses get students ready for college.
Very big variety of clubs and extracurricular activities are available. Everyone can find something they like
I transferred from a public school and making the switch to Rocky Mount Academy was one of my best decisions. Coming to Rocky Mount Academy has better informed me about college and has made sure i focused on my future. I've met many wonderful students and teachers at this school and have created lots of wonderful memories. This school creates some of the best students in all of North Carolina and is a great school to build life long skills. Go eagles!
From my experience, I am able to say that the teachers here are some of the best you'll ever meet. They work and help you understand the lessons and even give you additional help if asked. The teachers here obviously care about each students' safety and future. The teachers here are very caring and appreciate a hard working student.
I have participated in many extracurricular activities at Rocky Mount Academy, including soccer, tennis, being a tutor and councilor in the after school enrichment program, being in the Key club, Care, club, stock market club, and I even created my own physics club. Rocky Mount Academy lets their students participate any many ways and has the best extracurricular activities around the area.
Most teachers are amazing, but some of them are the absolute worst. The majority of them care a lot about their students and want to see them succeed, but there are a select few who are either not very knowledgeable about their subject material or cannot effectively control a classroom.
I love this school. I have spent 14 years of my life here, and I wouldn't do it differently if I could. While the school certainly has it flaws, what school doesn't? RMA is leaps and bounds ahead of every other school in the area, and I feel it has prepared me well for the future.
Health at our schol is important. if someone is sick the people understand that the sick person needs to stay home. the teachers teach the little kids about cleanliness and such.
Overall the school is great. its a private school so we get a lot of personal help. the teachers know who you are, they know your family and they want to help you. the students are very involved with the activities and such. the students all come back after college to visit the school because it is just an awesome place
