I came to RMA in 6th grade and while it was a touch academic adjustment, I can't imagine going any where else and feel as prepared for college as I was. The rigor enabled me to be ready for college academics so that I could adjust to other elements of college life. Being prepared academically enabled me to be a successful student athlete. It is a great school that supports students and gives them opportunities to become well rounded in the areas of academics, sports, clubs, and arts. Teachers and administration are helpful and committed to helping student prepare for their next challenge. It is a small school so the people who work their know you and can develop closer relationships to provide you with the support and encouragement to help you reach your goals. I’ve been going to RMA my entire life, and I couldn’t recommend it more. The teachers want to be there, the administration is fantastic, and the sports are great. A great school all round.

My daughter started RMA in the 6th grade. I wish we had started her educate there sooner as it was by far the best experience she could have had for middle/high school. The students were so welcoming & accepting. There's truly nothing bad I can say about her experience at RMA. She graduated in 2019 and starts college in just a few days. I feel she is prepared academically & emotionally. I would highly recommend RMA.

In the 6th grade when I first came to RMA, I was welcomed with an exuberant amount of kindness and embraced by the teachers with great measure of amiability. As many years passed, I made many friends and I was guided by the generosity and educated faculty that was always there to help not only me but any student who needed it. As I enter my senior year of high school, I feel very prepared for college and the outside world.

I like the class size and the closeness of my grade. We do things together on the weekends, we go to the movies as a grade. We like each other and support each other. Academically the teachers range from very difficult and demanding to more mild mannered. I like that because in College I will also probably have professors that have a range of different teaching styles, and I will know how to appreciate both.

Rocky Mount Academy is a great diverse school. The teachers are incredible and give one on one help with students. Class size is small. There is a wide variety of extra curricular activities including sport, drama, clubs, etc. The school promotes community involvement. Great place to send a kid to school.

Rocky Mount Academy is a fairly small private school. It has always been focused on preparing students for college. Teachers are supportive and helpful. If I was to change one thing about the school, it would be to shift the focus back to classes as sports have gained in popularity and funding has been redirected to them.
