I moved to this school about 6 years ago. I know for sure that this was one of the best choices my I chose. On the first day I remember there was barely any kids like 10. So basically everyone was friends with everyone. Going into middle school was a big thing for me this year but when I did it was nothing. Rocky Mount Academy is a great place to learn and grow. With a focus on academics, character, and community service, students are active participants in their educations. The faculty is outstanding and parent involvement is expected and appreciated.
RMA teachers are highly qualified, enthusiastic, and interested in their students as people. Students who graduate from RMA receive merit scholarships to the best universities in the state and the nation. While their diversity rankings are not as high as the school would like, major efforts have been made to increase diversity in the school - including an international partnership with a school in China. An RMA education is a wise investment in the future of my children.
Rocky Mount Academy is a private school I have attended since I was four years old. The relationships I have made with my teachers and classmates is remarkable. I take many college courses at school, so I feel well prepared for college. I love the undivided attention Rocky Mount Academy gives to every student. If I had to change anything, I honestly wouldn't. RMA provides us with great classes and a safe and fun environment, making me enjoy going to school.
Rocky Mount Academy is a great school that prepares its students for success in college. It has a wide variety of AP classes that allow student to gain credits for college. I would highly recommend this school.

The extracurriculars RMA does have are great, but in terms of breadth they are lacking. For example, the school does not have a marching band, a theatre club, or several sports that larger schools do. However, this is mostly due to the size and location of the school, it would not be feasible to support a large number of clubs.
RMA is a very safe environment, with very little crime ever occurring. There has been only one serious infraction during my time in high school, but the culprit was found and suspended until the end of her senior year. For the most part though, I have always felt very safe at my school, with frequent tornado and fire drills.
They are very involved and care about each student. They are the best!
