Completely overbooked on weekends. Stay Away!! I played here on a Saturday and it was the worst golfing experience I've ever had. The course was completely overbooked. My group of 4 started golfing at 12:54 and it took us 1 hour to get through 2 holes. We didn't even get to finish our round before it got dark. Not once, did I see a Marshall. The course was in decent condition, however, I would much rather play at the neighboring Eagle Vines GC for a similar price. Do not waste your money here, go to one of the other great co... read more
5.5 hours to play? Really? 5.5 hours to play, GPS didn't work and couldn't exchange for a cart that had working GPS, very little water on the course, pin placements were completely off. Yeah rough day at what I always considered one of the better short road trips from Sacramento. Sorry guys, too many other options these days.
Pro Shop Overbooks, 5 1/2 + rounds Great challenging course, fast and tricky greens. But be leery of Pro Shop OVER BOOKING. No reason any course should have 5 1/2 hour + rounds. When arrived at noon, Pro shop informed us that we will NOT get 18 holes in. Sunset was 5:45, Tee time was 12;45. Booked through Golf Now and paid for 18 holes.
Course needs water Yah, N. CA is in a drought. But if you can't keep the course playable, you should not open it to public play.
Interesting holes but course needed more care. Greens were quite variable in speed. Greenside turf was bare hardpan on many holes so that slightly wayward shots took extremely penal bounces. Rough varied considerably in depth. Fairway turf was dried and/or beaten up in several patches. Green spray treatment (not water) started before we finished our round. Two of the par 3's were the toughest our group had ever seen.
Not what I expected. I'd always heard about this course, and had high expectations of it, which were no where near met. For 70 dollars, I thought the club house was shabby and over stuffed with merchandise. The driving range was stuck behind the cart shed, while the "Members" range was just off the restaurant. The course was pretty beat up, lots of brown patches and even more area's with no grass at all. I would rather go to other Courses in the area that are more expensive or cheaper. Staff was neither over friendly or rude... read more
Look elsewhere Fairways are in terrible condition and have shown no improvement over past 2 years. Huge greens require that you acquaint yourself with pin position of the day or have a range finder--otherwise expect a lot of very long putts. Expect wind in the afternoon. Overall there are many better maintained courses for the same cost in the immediate area.
Nice view of grapes, course needs work The greens has been "micro punched", but worse they were super slow (7-8 stimp). Bunkers well groomed. Fairways were slow and spotty (some burnt areas, some wet and muddy). The course lay out is a strength, keeps your attention. I'd come back and play ONLY if the course conditioning improves.
Stay away! The course is in bad shape. The fairways are in need of the most help. There were actually muddy tire marks on a couple of holes. I am from out of town and was primarily relying on online reviews like Yelp to decide whether or not to play this course. Most of them were very good reviews of this course, but I can't see how these are genuine reviews after having played this course myself. I won't be coming back here.
