I recently had to rush my dog to Animal Clinic Northview after he began exhibiting significant signs of gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), commonly known as bloat, a well-known and life-threatening emergency that frequently affects large-breed, deep-chested dogs. Upon arrival, my dog was immediately taken to the treatment area, which I understand is standard procedure in emergency veterinary medicine. Shortly afterward, Dr. Reppart confirmed what appeared to be the obvious concern: my dog was suffering from bloat. However, b... read more

Hi, I took my dog to this animal clinic on April 4, 2026. I paid with cash. They gave my dog three prescriptions, but I took two of them because I did not need the shampoo cause I already had it and the lady already rang me up after I told the doctor I did not need the shampoo cause I already had it and he said OK but he never took it off so I paid and then I told the lady that she needs to give me money back. She said she couldn’t and I just gave her the money. I’m having a hard time getting my money back for the shampoo an... read more

0/10 recommend . Horrible communication/ euthanasia process .made a traumatic experience 10,000 times worse. They robbed me and my dog our last moments together after fully sedating him in the back without me present. They took him for IV placement, were gone 20+ minutes before I called the front desk asking where he was. He was wheeled back to me on a gurney fully sedated. A wrong that can never be made right. There are no words to express the loss and mistrust. In addition to this, I was initially lied to about if meds had... read more

I am beyond disappointed with how my situation was handled. This was my second visit, and instead of compassion, I felt like I was treated as a bill to be paid. I was told I had two choices: pay $7,000 immediately or put my dog down. No time to process, no real support — just pressure. Staff kept coming into the room pushing me to make a decision within minutes while I was clearly emotional and overwhelmed. No pet owner should be put in that position without empathy. This experience felt cold, rushed, and entirely focused ... read more

Business response:

Hi Diana, We’re very sorry to hear how this experience made you feel during what was clearly an emotional and difficult time. We understand how overwhelming it can be when serious medical decisions and unexpected costs are presented during urgent situations. Our goal is always to outline available options based on the pet’s condition so owners can make informed decisions, but we recognize that how this is communicated matters just as much. We regret that you felt rushed or unsupported, and your feedback will be shared with ... read more

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced with an emergency vet. I was there for several hours and was not able to see a vet. After waiting for 3 hours I left and let the front desk assistant know. As soon as I get out of the parking lot, said assistant calls me telling me I need come back right away because my dog needs emergency surgery. When I asked what was seen on X-rays the assistant stated they would not tell me unless I came back to office and refused to allow me to speak with a vet which infuriated me, and ... read more

I just recently went to get my hamster checked out bc she was dying. They checked her out and turned out it was too late to save her so they told me it was better to put her down. We decided to do so but not only did the doctor rush us into deciding but he didn’t even give me a moment to say goodbye he just took her other thing is we didn’t even get to see her during it they took her away which I feel is unfair not being able to see her last moments I feel like they should do the procedure with us in the room like any other ... read more

I would never take my pet here again. I called for an appointment and out of nowhere was told I had an old balance due so wouldn't see my sick dog. I payed the bill and yet I get the RUDEST person answering my call last night. Never asked about my dog...symptoms he was having nothing on the other end of the line. I asked if she was going to say anything and she said "like what?"... When your pet is ill your looking for a kind voice at the other end. I dont know who you are but your unprofessional attitude worried me enough I... read more
