I would love to see middle school sports become more inclusive and have better communication. I think they have come a long way in the last couple of months because of complaints. Hopefully we will see more interaction and communication between the athletic department and middle school students and parents in the coming months/years with all sports. The elementary school could do better in addressing bullying. Now that we are in the middle school it seems like students are taken seriously when reporting bullying behavior ins... read more
I have two children attending the academy, and I have nothing but positive things to say about this school. My children feel safe and cared for, while enjoying all of their daily activities. We love it here:)
My son has attended for 2 years so far and we are extremely happy with the progress he’s making! The support from his teachers and constant communication is exactly what you’d expect from such a great school.
Our family loves The Academy, where our two children attend. We have seen significant educational improvements and motivation with them. The teachers provide additional resources for learning at home to help our children succeed. We feel safer sending our kids to this school, which is very important for parents in today’s environment. The teachers, staff, and administration are kind and communicative. The after-school activities, concerts, and community-building events are also wonderful. Go Wildcats!
My child has been attending The Academy for the last 6 years and it has been a fantastic school. The teachers have all been great to work with and from my perspective, it's a well ran school. The morning drop off on the east side of the main campus has been a bit of a struggle to get through as parents tend to park and 'hang-out' in the drop off lane, but it seems as if recent attempts to curb this have shown to be helpful, so far.
There is turn over in teachers but I've experienced that w/ other schools, sports is not a highlight at the school but we have a new AD so hopefully that will change. The music program is amazing and growing. Would like to see more volunteerism and parent involvement, esp at the secondary level.
My daughter has attended The Academy for 14 years, since PreK and has enjoyed her school experience tremendously. She has never experienced bullying or felt unsafe. She has had numerous opportunities for leadership, sports, and other extra curricular activities. She loves her teachers and administrators. We have had very few problems over the years and we are very happy. It's not a perfect school, because no school is, but we have had an amazing experience.
Our daughter began attending The Academy when she was Pre-K. She is now in 7th grade. She has had excellent teachers, support staff and administrators. We feel like she is receiving a quality education. The goal is to ensure each child is prepared for college. They teach wonderful core values as well. I can’t think of anything I think they can do better…… because I think it’s excellent as it is!
I love the community feel at the North Campus and all the teachers have been really great. I have noticed the increase of students in class when volunteering and I can only imagine how stressful that can be for the teachers. I am able to observe this since I have a kindergartner and second grader.
