My experience at the Academy of Charter Schools is exactly what it needed to be, but I often wonder what life would be like if I switched schools for high school. Due to the fact that our class sizes are smaller (about 130 kids per grade), access to counseling resources is more accessible. Additionally, extracurriculars are slightly less competitive, making it easier to gain leadership experience. On the other hand, I don't think our academics are very rigorous. This school is the best thing that has ever happened to my family. My son’s teachers are truly angels. Mrs.Osborne has such a sweet, caring and loving approach to every student. Mrs.Baca has a gift with her special needs students that I will cherish always. I don’t care if your child is neurotypical, gifted or on the spectrum they will be welcomed here with open arms, love and support that is truly unmatched!
As a current senior who has attended this school since kindergarten, I’ve grown within this community and dedicated myself to giving back. Being highly involved in academics, athletics, leadership, and school events has shaped my character and taught me responsibility, teamwork, and commitment. The school is wonderful! Great staff that truly cares about the students. Anytime my son has struggled, they have given him one on one help. I would recommend this school to anyone I know.
Our daughter is excelling here. She has had some challenges with friendships, but otherwise it is a great school!
Overall I've really loved coming here and have had an amazing experience. My siblings and other family members have also attended and it has been a good experience for us all.
The Academy has been our stability through a very challenging time for our family. The staff in the front office are always kind and attentive. Andrea Foust has helped us connect with amazing resources and just been an all around beacon of light in a time that’s felt really heavy as a parent. I appreciate this school so much! And my children absolutely love it, which is the best part!
I am a junior at the Academy, and have been attending this school since fourth grade. I have really enjoyed how the school supports you and guides you through high school. They have many resources available for students to use, and encourage you to use them. One thing I really enjoy about this school, is that you are able to take college courses, for free, through Front Range Community College.
