Sports programs continue to hire and retain poorly trained individuals who destroy student morale. The administration refuses to act upon any decision to find better alternatives.

I have been here since kindergarden. There is a lot of issues regarding this school. They cant keep the teachers and there is no school pride or spirt.

I liked the teachers and staff however the community and culture is toxic. This has been a constant problem at the school for years now because of the class size.

I have been at The Academy for 10 years. When I was first at the school as a third grader I enjoyed the environment and the teacher but as time has gone one I’ve seen most of my teachers quit or leave and faculty has become less and less supportive of our actual learning and mental health and is instead only worried about of test scores. I would like to see more diversity and more things being done especially on racism. I would also like to see more focus on the student's mental health.

As a former student, please listen to me. If you want your students to succeed in the future, do not let them go to The Academy. If you cannot use the skills that were never properly taught to pass a placement exam with exceptional skill, you will get laughed at and told you're not good enough to be in your major. Class ranking, GPA, and extracurriculars do not matter if you cannot score 1260 on the SAT (or equivalent on the ACT). Replacing a department of teachers every academic year is absurd. It is a good small school environment and teachers are overall very supportive and good. Administration is running the school like a business and is pretty bad.

The teacher's don't care about their students. They do nothing in class and the students have to do all the work themselves. They don't care about bullying, suicide, student's safety etc. as long as they make themselves look good.

There should be a library instead of just a summit where it is always loud and you can not actually get any work done. Other than most of the teachers are usually helpful and will make time for any student.
