Some teachers are great and care about the students. Other teaches barley know what they are teaching.
They have sports, but not all are offered.
This high school keeps one sheltered and does not provide the students with many encouragements of education beyond high school. Success is stated as a positive here but it is not a goal that is prioritized by the students and staff. The academic counselor was helpful and nice but busy all the time. Her attention was hard to grasp beyond the time allotted.
Some of the dress code policies were understandable but others were not. Tank tops were banned but for those girls who wanted to wear a modest summer dress that showed shoulders but not cleavage were sent to change while others covered shoulder but showed way too much cleavage.
School building was well maintained and kept clean, with a few days of exception. Teachers were mostly there for you when you need them and college prep was very well put together for student (Courtesy of Ms. Gosch) the cafeteria food was awesome and bathrooms were kept clean.
Most teachers were awesome, very personable and interactive. Always tried new things to allow for different students to learn in different ways. Most teachers offered after school/study hall help if a student was in need of assistance. Most teachers followed the same rules of late work/absent work making it easier for the students to keep in a routine.
My school is good in all diversity and culture. And it has come a long way since my first attendance to this school.
The academics that this school offers is outstanding. They offer AP/honor classes and general classes that will fit your schedule.
My school is a good school but there are a lot of kids that just screw off so its hard to be in class and learn. But there are plenty of opportunities to get in a sport.
