Some of the dress code policies were understandable but others were not. Tank tops were banned but for those girls who wanted to wear a modest summer dress that showed shoulders but not cleavage were sent to change while others covered shoulder but showed way too much cleavage.
School building was well maintained and kept clean, with a few days of exception. Teachers were mostly there for you when you need them and college prep was very well put together for student (Courtesy of Ms. Gosch) the cafeteria food was awesome and bathrooms were kept clean.
Most teachers were awesome, very personable and interactive. Always tried new things to allow for different students to learn in different ways. Most teachers offered after school/study hall help if a student was in need of assistance. Most teachers followed the same rules of late work/absent work making it easier for the students to keep in a routine.
My school is good in all diversity and culture. And it has come a long way since my first attendance to this school.
The academics that this school offers is outstanding. They offer AP/honor classes and general classes that will fit your schedule.
My school is a good school but there are a lot of kids that just screw off so its hard to be in class and learn. But there are plenty of opportunities to get in a sport.
Most teachers are very nice and have good teaching styles. You can easily find a teacher to connect with and talk to about anything. Most students talk to teachers outside of their specific class. They are nice, fun, funny, and overall about average.
There are multiple extracurricular activities at The Academy. Many are fun and interactive. Knitting club is actually growing to be quite popular, as well as the drama club. Teachers love seeing students go to the clubs and are quite supportive.
The Academy has relatively good academics. We don't have many AP classes, but we do have honors classes that I am enrolled in. Teachers give a lot of class work and little homework. We are allowed one study hall for the year which is very beneficial to many students.
