I really enjoyed Padua High School. The faculty and staff were amazing and it really felt like a big family. I met so many people that I will be friends for life with and feel very prepared for college.
For the most part, I enjoyed my time at Padua High School. Many of the teachers are helpful and caring, however, some are not and should not be teaching. I took AP classes and had some teachers that did not know how to teach the material at a level that high school students could understand. Other aspects of Padua were great, such as the extra curricular activities, the attention to service and helping others, such as Christmas For Others and the sports teams. These made high school so much fun!
While some of the teachers were beyond knowledgeable and exceptional, others do not have a teaching degree or a degree in what they’re teaching. It very much stresses that Padua is a college prep school and some of the teachers were wonderful and went beyond what they needed to do, but again, there are exceptions in everything, so multiple staff members did the bare minimum. Overall, it is not an exceptional school, it’s average for what a high school should supply to it’s students.
I am impressed with the amount of higher level classes offered at such a relatively small school, and the teachers that I experienced in those classes were well equipped to give the students the information they needed. However, I believe that there could be more done to help those who struggle with their classes. An alarmingly large number of my friends have told me stories about how their teachers were not helpful, even after being asked specific questions about a topic.
This school has changed my life for the better. I feel like I have another home and I could not have asked for a better community. I have received a fantastic education and many chances at a leadership position. The faculty is wonderful and the entire community cares about the people around them. It is truly a family and I do not know what I would do if I went somewhere else.
The principal really understands and cares about the school and the students. The teachers there are friendly and supportive.
Challenges each student at their level and brings humanity into the classroom. The school is a refuge from the difficulties of life as a teenager. Students grow to become balanced individuals reflecting Franciscan teachings.
As a new transfer student at Padua Franciscan High School my experience has been good. During my time there I have experienced the most help and guidance from my teachers and administration to make sure as I student I pass all my classes, and exceed expectations for graduation.
Padua creates a family atmosphere that everyone is comfortable with and loves. Everyone knows everyone and the learning atmosphere is fun and academically challenging. The students help each other and encourage one another to do their best work. We have many clubs and organizations that do very good things for our community. During the holidays, we sponsor "Christmas For Others" where we raise money and materials for the poor, and donate to local charities.
