Padua Franciscan is an academically challenging school that emphasizes the values of community and service to its faculty and students. They have a wide variety of clubs and activities to help you get involved and meet new people. Not only am I on the volleyball team, but I'm also in the Astronomy club, Spanish Club, Orchestra, and the president of NHS. Advanced courses prepared me greatly for college. Sports programs are par with other top high schools. Cafeteria food is better than most high schools.
From my experience on the Honors track with MyTrack Comp Sci & Engineering, the faculty and staff will do everything to help you learn. They're kind, understanding, but also tough in all the right places. You'll walk out smarter and more confident with life skills. Every year, theres improvement in different spaces and more ways to get involved. However, diversity is an issue in the sense of ethnicities and beliefs that dont align with popular culture. I had a great time at Padua. I was able to connect with new people and make some new friends. I was able to participate in athletics throughout the school year. I was also able to succeed academically even while taking challenging courses. The worst part of my experience was that I had to deal with COVID my sophomore year. That took away some of my learning and experiences. The only thing the school needs to change is that they need Air Conditioning!
After 4 years of attending a college-prep school, I can safely say that Padua has done an excellent job at preparing me for college. The councilor's guided me through the process of college admissions and made it as simple and stress free as possible. Most of the teachers are phenomenal as well. I love Padua and all the opportunities they have given me. I am apart of various clubs and varsity bowling. I am also apart of the theater tech crew. The only change I would like to see is a more openness toward lgbtq+ people.
As a current junior at Padua, my experience here has been nothing but extraordinary. I transferred in my sophomore year and from the start everyone, faculty and students were extremely welcoming. You constantly have support from those around you and your teachers are always encouraging you to do your best.
