After a storm my wife and I noticed some of our shingles sticking up. We turned in a claim and was denied for "workmanship " according to their excuse fabricator,most companies have adjusters. Ten year old roof withstood many storms and weather then suddenly after an exceptionally strong storm, with tornadic winds ,my roof was installed wrong. Statefarm is the WORST on all levels. 1) Each rep tells me something different & promises things which aren't accurate 2) their reps argue, interrupt, and don't put in any effort to help. It's like talking to a 5 year old. 3) they use third parties for everything (towing, body shop, yard) and there's always a disconnect that YOU the customer have to troubleshoot and figure out. 5) I had to constantly be onto them to get things moving because they don't follow up on anything with their third parties. with every step my claim ... read more
The drive safe program is not explained. I get good scores, yet only 1% discount. Called and no explaination. Maybe consider driving 5k a year. Never got an explanation of rate. Cancel program if you can't manage it. I'll give them 6 months, then I'm done.
Been a customer for 7 years. When my roof became damaged due to wind I wasn’t worried. After a month of waiting for someone to show up, I was told that I would be responsible for the damage. Why do I have homeowners insurance? So needless to say I’m worried now. I ended up having to pay out of pocket for repairs, but they keep collecting payments from me… I definitely don’t recommend this company.
I have been a State Farm customer for over 60 years, and have never seen the total lack of response or consideration that I am now. My local agent is Dave Holloway in Meridian, MS. On April 5th, 2022 straight-line winds damaged by roof, blowing off shingles and a section of the roof vent. April 22, 2022: the claim was denied by Henry ******, an "External Claims Resource". Trisha C******* is very "cavalier" about the distress of others. There is a way to do your job when assessing a claim without insulting the customer about their own lived experience. I would love for her to live in the shoes of others when she's dealing with these claims and learn a bit of humility and empathy. In the end, renters insurance is the biggest scam in the real estate market with this now being demanded on any new leases. Just spend 4 months flighting to get paid for a claim from one of their insured damaging my property. In the end they are only paying $6,000 of $13,000 of damage. Glad I do not have State Farm for my own insurance and will never use them! Absolute horrible customer service. You cannot get ahold of an adjuster and always have to call in to a "team" so you never can talk to the same person twice.

The local branch was very nice. I have no complaints about them. But when we actual had an accident the was not our fault, we waited 2 months for them to do anything and we had to make any moves. They never reached out to us and accident was not our fault. This is a very immature company. They are not for the customer. Of you are just paying premiums sure they are great, but the moment you need them to work for you well their customer service people are still working from home and don't give a fly about the customer. Lost my home and auto insurance because I filed a claim., even though I was found not liable for the incident and state farm didn't pay out one penny they still wouldn't keep me as a customer after years of being a customer .. I suggest if you're looking for insurance look somewhere else
