I think North Idaho STEM Charter Academy (NISCA) is an amazing school! They specialize in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. I currently want to major in some type of science when I get to college, which is why NISCA is extremely beneficial to me and my future. The teachers are very helpful and since it is a smaller school, there is more one-on-one time with the teachers for extra help.

I love this school like no other. The amount of opportunities available here are absolutely incredible and you won’t find them anywhere else. While it is a STEM school, there is also emphasis on English, Reading, and Writing— they don’t get left out. History and Civics are also massive parts of the curriculum, and some of the hardest classes. We don’t have any sports teams, but we manage to keep plenty busy with the tons and tons of STEM activities available to us, including First Tech Challenge (FTC), which allows us to bui... read more

This is my 6th year attending STEM and it has been a great experience. The teachers and faculty are amazing, and everyone strives to make the students feel welcome. We also have a wonderful high school advisor who helps us find the right classes so we can graduate with our associates degree. I don't think we need to change anything about STEM because well into its path of success.

This school has very high quality education and gives you opportunities to online and college classes. However, the school does push kids to focus more of STEM related jobs and anyone that doesn't want to pursue a STEM related career, are pushed aside. The school is slightly biased, students having a different opinion or different view on something, are treated like outlaws and are sometimes talked down to until they feel like they are the problem when, in fact, they are not. I love how hard they push everyone and how everyone in my senior class is a dual credit student. I like how small my grade level is because I know everyone in my grade by first and last name.
