Editorial review from Citysearch It was super busy the night we came here, I was surprised by how good the service was as well as the food. We look forward to coming back here to sit outside!

Don't Bother On the web, the place seems like a good combination - seafood, right on the shore of Lake Ontario. The actual experience doesn't live up to the promise, however. The seafood was not fresh, the corn over-cooked, the vegetable bland... At least the beer was cold.

Terrible experience We were here as part of a rehearsal dinner the night before a wedding. We arrived at 7:00pm and nobody even approached our table I take our drink order for 15 minutes. It took over an hour for our dinners to arrive. When they arrived 3 people at the table were told that they had run out if the prime...

Food is still OK, but too many problems this visit Castaways is a sentimental restaurant for my wife and me, so writing this less-than-stellar review is a bit hard for me. But I am always honest, and I only report things as I see them, so here goes. We decided to dine at Castaways tonight because we had a "Groupon" for $30.00, and because we have had some memorable dinners...

Can it really be that bad Yes. We ate here on Saturday. Ordered seafood bisque-which was OK except for the weird surimi used as the base. There were a few mushy shrimp bits floating around too. I then had the seafood stuffed mushrooms. Which also were just ok, but they were sitting in a pool of the same seafood bisque I had just eaten-which led to...

Below average food at above average prices. Were it not for the view, no one would go there. Their artichoke French pales in comparison to Perlos.

Terrible Many other places on the lake and bay, look somewhere else. Over priced and very poor customer service. If you want to pay to be treated poorly than you may consider going.

One Word: Horrible The view was good, but does NOT make up for the terrible food and service. Extremely overpriced. 104$ for 3 people and small portions. The receipt was handwritten and did not show exactly what we ordered and how much each was. I ordered a Filet Medium-Well. Whenever you order an expensive piece of meat you should ALWAYS come back to...
