Great views Great place to go for good service and sunsets. Sitting outside on the lake is great. The food is not bad it's just not great.

Good Food, Good Setting, Slightly overpriced We went with friends for a casual meal and to enjoy the lakeside location. They do have an outdoor tent set up which expands their seating considerably from inside options. It is a "bar-type" setting with entree options just a step up from typical bar food. Entrees do have more seafood choices from the typical bar, playing off the lakeside...

Casual place to eat on the lake If you have been to the Castaways before, it has not changed. The view and breeze off the lake are the reasons to go. We were there as the sun was going down behind the trees on an 80 degree day. It was just perfect. The food and the decor are, however, so, so. The salad for the first course...

Location Is This Places Main Draw We wanted a place on the waterfront to celebrate family birthdays. We decided to give this place a try. We went on a Thursday night in September, on a school night, so the place really slow. The staff confirmed this fact. They had even let the bar tender go home, so it should have been an easy night for the...

Casual Waterfront Dining Casual friendly spot on the Lake. We have eaten lunch and dinner here and it's always excellent, great service, wonderful choices of food , the grouper is quite delicious and the Key Lime Pie is scrumptious. The mussels are so delicious with a broth for diipping and so good that some folks take the left overs home.

Not fancy, but good food with a lake view A mild summer evening was made better by the calm view of Lake Ontario from the deck of Castaways and delicious food. The decor for outdoor dining is "basic deck", meaning plastic armchairs and plastic table covers. Dress is casual, as we saw patrons in shorts, summer skirts, and tee shirts. It appeared that many patrons on a weekday came...

Great dining experience accompanied by friendly and attentive service My family and I came in on a Friday evening to eat on the lake and we were very pleased with our experience. The seafood dinners that we ordered were delicious and every course of the meal was delivered in a timely fashion. We were very impressed by our waitress and the service staff who made our experience very pleasant....

Did great for a large group When I'm dining with 20+ people, I don't have high expectations of the service, but Castaways did an admirable job for our group. Everything went very smoothly. The setting is beautiful overlooking Lake Ontario and a great place to watch the sunset. Food was decent--nothing special but the view made it a very nice evening.

Great Seafood! This place is so cute. The food was great. I had the Fishermans platte. Lots of food on that thing! Great salad and bread. A nice martini and finished with the key lime pie. Will be back in the summer to sit outside. Can't wait!
