They rush people to play and are rude about it. You are forced to skip holes even if no one is behind you and then catch up to people in front of you. How fun!! They claim to be experts on pacing yet can’t manage their busy days without blaming paying customers for their shortcomings. Do yourself a favor and go play somewhere else! Rude, unprofessional and unapologetic.

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your much appreciated feedback. We are sorry to hear that you did not have the best experience during your last visit. We do maintain a four hour pace of play policy out of service to our guests. We want players to rely on our consistency so that if they make an 8:00 tee time, they know that they will be able to make their 12:30 meeting. We hope that you will be willing to give us another chance to see how the policy can benefit you and your golf game!

I always loved this course and the staff has always been great until one ranger ruined it all for me, which was enough for me to never go back. He told us that we needed to speed up and that we’re two holes behind. Keep in mind, we finished the front 9 in less than 2 hours and finished the round in 4, only because we had to wait on 9 of the holes. After he warned/ threatened that we would have to skip a hole if we didn’t play faster, we rushed for half a hole only to find out that the next group was right in front of us. The... read more

Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback. We are saddened to hear that you did not have the best experience lately. We strive to maintain a four hour pace of play out of service to all of our guests. In order to do so, we find that it is sometimes necessary to issue reminders about pace of play. We are truly sorry if it came off as threatening as that is never our intent. We will do better in the future and we hope that you will visit us again to see how great our course can be!

Broken promises, We rushed our golf game. We were told if we finish in 4 hours, by 4:10. We would get a free pass. We saw they had a event at 4:00, we assumed they wanted us off the course by 4:10. We decided ok. We rushed our game. We picked up on the last hole. When we went in, they told people us we were being watched. We did not finish our last hole. Then said it was the fine print on the back of the card. Also the wedding was across the street. We thought we could not stay and eat, due to the wedding. our friends had l... read more

Hi Jodie, I apologize you weren't happy with your experience. Our events in the clubhouse don't play into how the course operates, and the patio was still open for dining throughout the duration of the evening as communicated online and posted throughout the clubhouse. We would have loved for you to dine with us! Our intention is never to make you feel rushed, we're sorry you felt that! We try to encourage you to play in four hours, and give you incentives to do so. When people reserve specific tee times we want to honor tho... read more

Played there yesterday, the course is in decent shape. My main concern is the "flat rate". My friends and I walk 90% of the courses we play which we realize is not the norm, however, 90% of the courses we play have walking fees. We were not thrilled with actually paying the course extra to walk. We did not use any gas or add to cart or course maintenance but were charged as if we did. This is a bad management call. And if the reply is that there is no cart charge then you best justify $70 for this course mid day on a ... read more

Went to play as a single today and they informed me that I would have to share a cart with a stranger. I was told that the carts do have a divider, but I still didn't feel safe playing there, so I left. For $85 felt that I shouldn't have to share a cart with a stranger during a pandemic. I took a drive out to Dacotah Ridge and really enjoyed it, truly one of the best courses in Minnesota.

We have been coming here for a couple years. We love the atmosphere and food. But, the food seems to be slowly going downhill. A couple months ago a 25$ steak dinner that we get often was the size that gets served in a sandwich. Tonight the Cajun pasta was like a bowl of stew in gravy. The walleye dinner was like a small sunfish. Very disappointing for the price! We have decided it will be a while before we go back.
