I went to Padua 9th and 10th grade until I decided to transfer out because I couldn't deal with being there two more years. My main issues at the school were racial microaggressions from students, lack of diversity, and overwhelming strictness. At Padua I was one of the few non-white students at the school and my experience there was uncomfortable to say the least; feeling like I don't belong, constantly "othered" students and even getting made fun of. Another thing that prompted me to leave were the OVERWHELMINGLY strict ru... read more
Padua claims to offer a better education than public schools for being a private catholic school, however, it is no different and does not let students be themselves. It does not provide an open mind for the students and some teachers are overly strict and unhelpful.
I have not had a good experience at this school. I have had poor teachers and they have not taught me anything. People get in trouble for dumb things and the dress code is dumb and there are way to many rules
I would like to see more effective changes in the school. Every year they make "improvements," but these seem to be unnecessary and often cause more confusion and frustration than the year before.
I attended padua from 2015-2018, I only made it to junior year when about a month out from finals I was told that it would be better if I didn't come back to finish out the remainder of the year. This, I will admit was my fault, I had missed the maximum amount of days allowed. I really did not agree with the way they handled it though. They were giving me other options to finish out the remaining month of school at a brand new school but they were no help at all and I felt like I was just thrown to the wolves. I enjoyed some... read more
As a senior, I found my experience at Padua regrettable, especially dealing with the over the top rules and constant sarcasm that came from teachers
We had a Very poor experience with two kids that went through. Overly accepting and open atmosphere actually made it very awkward for both. Kids came home asking to skip school almost every day. Also , instead of helping the kids learn how to serve, padua made service entirely up to th parents in terms of organization.
Padua is an acedemically great high school. But its atmosphere is palpably monotonous and almost revolting. Its teaching staff are as a whole mediocre, however the only reason for this is because of a few terrible teachers. Padua likes to talk about its culture, and the lack of fights , but my son (who is leaving this yea) talked about several fights, and a culture that pretty much disregarded any student input. My son stated the new lobby cost millions of dollars, byt that neither he or his frends used it, and that there is... read more
