All of the teachers are extremely helpful and go above and beyond for all students to make sure we succeed to the best of our abilities.
I've made great friends and memories at Padua over my 4 years.
The environment can be draining with the constant push that's disguised as the college prep process, but eventually, you see that the push was what you needed to succeed.
Most of the teachers are excellent and strive to see their students excel, but there are a few that are ambiguous and abrasive in the classroom.
There is a wide array of extracurriculars. Some, like theatre, have administrators who show favorites and this prohibits everyone from getting a fair chance at getting the most out of the activity.
Throughout my years at Padua, I have been given the opportunity to get to know many of the teachers here. I have been able to do this through tutorials, classes, and extracurricular activities. I feel that the teachers here are some of the best in the nation because the truly care about their students and the success of their students. This school has a zero tolerance policy for bullying. No student, that I know of, has ever been turned away with a bullying complaint. The other precautions that the school takes to keep the students safe are extensive, but not excessive. Students are encouraged to stay home if they are ill, but the school nurse is always available. I feel very safe from outside harm due to the locked doors, the precautions regarding who can come in and out of the school, and the school police officer.
If I could go back to my eighth-grade year, I would do the exact same thing. Padua Franciscan is my second home. The people here treat each other like family. There has never been a time that I felt like I was alone. I think a unique part of our school is our Franciscan values. There is no other school in the area that holds their faith up so high and is encouraged to practice it through service and genuine love. The students at Padua have to do service in the community in order to remain enrolled at Padua. This encourages u... read more
The clubs at Padua are very accepting to everyone who wants to join them. Like many other schools, some clubs are for whoever wants to join and some have different qualifications, with the majority being free admission. All of the clubs do different field trips and activities. The language clubs go to their respective foreign countries. The theatre arts put on multiple different shows. NHS does trips for service.
