Enjoyable Play, Unique Layout This is a challenging course uniquely situated among Napa CA vineyards. The course has has lots of variety with 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's. Challenging, especially some of the par 3's, but not tricky or frustrating. We thoroughly enjoyed the setting and the golf.
Nice course in the vineyards Mostly wide fairways and massive greens. Enjoyable course that could use a bit of maintenance off the fairways. Overall a beautiful course that was fairly windy, but enjoyable. I will definitely play frequently.
Great Place to Play Without some sort of discount like GolfNow can be a little pricey but overall I like the course and plan to play it again.
Great scenery and a Nice Course Had a good time at Chardonnay - course is in very good condition. Not the most challenging course out there, but a good track with some interesting holes, especially several par three's with huge greens. Shot placement to the correct tier is critical. Pace of play was a little slow, most likely due to there being a five group "tournament" in front of us, but definitely not as bad as some other courses in the Bay Area. Worth your time Very nice and challenging course, only slow down by a father-daughter combination and they don't even let me go through. The course has a lot of Chardonnay, it's beautiful. You will enjoy it.
Wine Country Gem Chardonnay was in wonderful shape when we played it. Really like the layout as it winds thru a lot of vineyards and it is especially challenging with its large undulating greens. Since it is in the wine country near Napa, wine tasting after your round is always an option.
Always enjoyable the course was in excellent shape and the greens were rolling true. the starter was very friendly and let me out early so that the round was at a good pace Don't recommend walking since the redesign which removed 9 of the 27 holes. Long walks between a number of holes.
Beautiful Course but the staff is lacking We played on a buddies trip, and had rounds at Silverado Napa and Spanish Bay as well. This course is picturesque and challenging. We enjoyed the course. Where this course lacks is in its staff. The grounds keepers were oblivious to the fact that we were playing a round of golf or lacked proper training to let the golfers enjoy their round and play through. Great time As always, Chardonnay offered up a great time on a fun course. Hard to complain about anything except the wind and the carts. Can I blame the for the wind? Probably not. The carts, however, could use some updating.
