RecommendedI had an appointment with Mr Sumiya at 10.00 AM this Tuesday. I arrived there at 9:40 .after filling out the intake form , it was time to pay for the initial consultation. The fees were 430.5 $ . I asked the receptionist if they accept American Express but she said No ( in a rude manner) . She said that they only take MC, Visa or Debit cards . When you showed up for your appointment, you advised reception that you had "no cards" and asked if we would take cash. I engaged the legal services of Mr. Sumiya of Verhaeghe Law, who represented me in my divorce proceedings when he was hired in mid 2021. Looking back on the quality for services rendered, I mistakenly was led to believe this was a top notch Family Law Lawyer in his field, that would be the best representation that I had fully expected and anticipated. Lawyer and staff here fell below standard duty of care, poor communication and time management on my file. I was left confused and not taken care of I wouldn’t recommend this firm . I think they take on too many clients and don’t spend the time they need to learn a clients file as I had to explain my story over and over as if they didn’t recall , all the while being charged for it.
