I went to this camp when I was 15. That was 15 years ago and it changed my life. I grew my faith and made life long friends. I looked it up because I have a 7 year old and whilst he is still a bit young for his away camp Camp Aurora is first on my list. This is our 2nd year and the only sleep away camp I have ever trusted with my child. Their values and expectations are clearly communicated and upheld. The staff (like Cynthia Poster) really pour love into our children and I feel she is safe there. My daughter is having the best time meeting new friends and learning about Christ in a way that will make a lasting impression. I could not be more grateful for their campership opportunity and community that makes it possible for this single mom!
My kids love summer camp, as well as my wife attending the women's retreat. It's a beautiful place for kids to create lasting summer camp memories while learning about God. I would also like to take a moment to recognize all the volunteers that give up their time to ensure kids camp and all the retreats are successful.
EDIT: I did not go to camp here! Camp looks like an easy 5 star, absolutely beautiful and fun place to be! They are generous to open the disc course to the public but you do have to call ahead of time. My disc review is this - Disc Golf Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Small and technical course but beautiful and fun. Some holes literally play through impossible obstacles, playgrounds and pavillions lol. Still fun. There are a few holes you can rip at 350+ but most are 250 or so. Worth going if you're in the area
Lake Aurora is one of my favorite places to attend. I love being around people and relaxing under the big oak tree. I love everything about the peaceful place and especially all the people there that work and volunteer there. Keep up the good work. :)
