After one year, the girls program was added. In 1985, CGA expanded by adding a second gym focusing on recreational gymnastics on the east side of Columbus. In 1990, the recreational gym moved to Americana Parkway in Reynoldsburg, and then in 1993, the competitive gym moved to a 22,000 sq' facility in Worthington. The competitive program was very successful with a number of boys placed on the USA Junior National team while they were training at Columbus Gymnastics Academy.
