Good location. Close to many great birding sites. Very quiet.
Alamo Inn is a quaint, older facility, but worked well for our family.
The level of service is always very high, guests are made to feel welcome from the moment they check in, and any need is attended to--be it a special breakfast item, emergency laundry, or directions to a desired bird

I love the historic charm of the town! It's a great place to stay and if I'm ever in the area again the Alamo is definitely the place I would stay.
My favorite parts of the Alamo were definitely the birds, and I liked how you could eat right in the lobby. It was a great view!
The owner Keith Hackland being a bird expert, he had all the info necessary for a successful birding trip. The Alamo Inn is a very nice place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
My stay was very pleasant. I liked all the furnishing, they were really "home" like.
My husband is a bird watcher, and absolutely loves it here. We stayed in the Wesmor suites building, which was very roomy and spacious. There was also a full kitchen which we really enjoyed!
