We celebrated our anniversary dinner here & got great service from Roberto. There was a small wait to be seated. The young men in charge of seating got confronted by another server about seating arrangements and servers. She was being rude to them for not following an order to the seating instead of helping. After traveling all day, I asked the hotel staff about the best upscale restaurant in the area. YB was recommended. I was seated quickly and my drinks came out promptly. My cocktail was absolutely delightful. When my food arrived, the disappointment was palpable. The 14 ounce carne asada is closer to 6 - 8 ounces of thin, chewy, usda select beef. Gina was awesome! We arrived on a Monday at 6:15pm and saw tons of folks waiting in their vehicles and the vestibule of the restaurant was packed - 30 min wait for two. But when I tired to call and make a reservation earlier, no one answered. Pro tip: the bar is first come first served and so we sat right away. My son and I we’re visiting Carlsbad caverns and decided to find a restaurant close by. It’s roughly 25 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns. I ordered the Garlic shrimp pasta and my son ordered the fish and chips. Most of all the garlic shrimp was cooked to perfection. I love that they still kept the shell on to be able to enjoy all the juices from the shell. The pasta was cooked al dente which is my preference. We had such a great experience here! The staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They were so nice about our service dog and even offered her some water, which we really appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious, and the patio where we sat was beautiful. We didn’t enjoy the desserts as much, but everything else was amazing! We totally recommend this place, great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere.
