I had an emergency appointment at Warshauer & Santamaria Dental Monday May 12th. From the moment I walked in the staff were kind and accommodating. Ben, Dr Santamaria’s assistant was a true gem explaining things to me and making me less stressed. Dr Santamaria was just delightful! After inspection of my teeth, she explained the type of treatment I needed in a way that I would understand and it made me feel at ease. I have been a patient here for many years, and received good dental care. Now they are switching to “out of network” so that patients have to pay up-front for their care, and get insurance coverage independently. This is a big problem for those who are not wealthy and is a financial burden to patients. I will likely change practices.
The dentists and hygienists are great. The communication of timing of appointments, billing and care of your time of horrific. Been there for over 10 years but how they treat you is not a place anyone should want to go to. Truly a place that shouldn’t be in business.
Felt very predatory. Said I need a filling while showing me four month old x rays. I asked if we could take more up to date X-rays before deciding and Dr. Santamaria said X-rays are very difficult. At that point, I turned to the X-ray machine and said isn’t it right there. And she said okay we can push off the filling. Felt like they were taking advantage of me as a young student. Dr. Santamaria is nothing short of impeccable, thoughtful, and courteous. I have never had a better dentist in my entire life. The quality of care that I receive at Warshauer & Santamaria is unparalleled. For as long as I live in the Boston area, I will only be seeing Dr. Santamaria. Not only is Dr. Santamaria wonderful, so are all of the staff members at the office.
