I wasn’t sure what to expect but from the moment we stepped into the front door I could tell this place was different that most bbq places I’ve been. The front counter lady was nice and we ordered our food and sat at a booth. When our food came out I was blown away. The pickles on the plate were homemade, the cornbread was huge and the honey butter was amazing. The burnt ends were so tender and the potato salad was like something from a family picnic. Wow.... We drove 100 miles round trip to try this place because we heard how good it was. Let me say, we weren't disappointed! From the time we walked in the door we felt very comfortable as the highly competent staff guided us through their refreshingly different choice of sides and meats. Absolutely some of the best BBQ I've ever had. My wife and I try to find a good BBQ joint wherever we travel. We both had Burnt ends. EXCELLENT. Kids had ribs. EXCELLENT. Tater salad. EXCELLENT. Beans. EXCELLENT. Was most surprised by the fries. They were the best fries I've ever had. This is our Ozark BBQ place now. Better than anyplace in KC, including Q35.

The food and sauces are out of this world amazing. We split the brisket sandwich and had cheesy corn and cornbread as sides. We had fun trying the different sauces, one at a time and all at once! There were new staff working the day we arrived, and things seemed a bit disjointed, but with a little patience, all was great. I would caution anyone with food allergies to discuss it prior to ordering. We stopped by here over the weekend. We had a party of eight and they were able to seat us immediately. You order at the counter and then take your seat, they will then call your number and you have to go pick up your food. We had a pretty good variety. We had the brisket, pulled pool and turkey. It was all very good and we would stop by here again if we are in the area.
