The Children’s group has been my son’s dr since about a month after birth in 2011. We were going to a different pediatrician for his first initial after birth well check for approximately 3 visits before I realized they didn’t see my baby as a person but more as a number. The last time we went to the other pediatrician my son was having a hard time breathing and his lips were starting to turn blue and the other pediatrician told me my son was fine. The younger staff at the front desk, & at the checkouts are rude. They barely want to greet you when you walk in, the young guy & the girl that take your children in the back to weigh them & check their vitals are rude as well. There’s never a “hello, how are you all today?” It’s always just, “what’s going on?” or, “what’s the problem?” This is a doctors office for CHILDREN, we expect friendly service & staff members that make us, especially our children, feel comfortable & welcomed. TCG misdiagnosed my child saying she had only a hemorrhoid sending her home to take miralax although she had a lymph node the size of a golf ball on her stomach (clearly indicating an infection) Thank God, I listened to my child and took her to urgent care 2 days later, she had to be rushed to Prisma Children’s Hospital where she was diagnosed with Crohns Disease. Very nice place. Clean, friendly staff, my daughter and i have only gone 4 times but so far the doctor has done everything ro meet our needs and help my daughter with her needs. My daughter had voiced how much she likes how soft spoken and calm her doctor is when she talks with her which is very important to her so that means a lot to me in itself. I would definitely recommend The Children's Group to anyone who is looking for a good place to take their kids when their health is not what it houkd be.
