We had a good experience at Charred Oak Tavern and would definitely come back. I started with the French onion soup. I order French onion soup pretty much everywhere I find it, and this was one of the better ones I've had. The broth was definitely on the stronger, more potent side, possibly a little salty, but overall I thought it was very good. For my meal, I had the jerk jumbo shrimp. We’ve been to Charred Oak Tavern before, and it had been a while since our last visit, so we decided to come back for dinner. We started with the candied bacon, which was a great appetizer. We also tried two tequila cocktails from the drink menu, a peach whiskey drink, and an Allagash. The tequila cocktails were excellent, while the peach whiskey drink was just okay. Good evening beautiful people ❤️ This was my 3rd time at the COT and each time I had a wonderful time. The food is amazing! But tonight me and my friends had the pleasure of being waited on by a young man named Tucker! He was so nice and informative but I loved that he picked up on our energy and went right with it making us feel like friends!! He was so nice and he got my sad broccoli cooked perfectly!! We will be back soon!!
We've been to the Charred Oak Tavern a few times now and had had a good experience each time. If you aren't familiar with the area there is a parking lot behind the building! I really like the atmosphere inside, the food is always cooked well and comes out quickly. Everyone I've gone with likes the drinks and all the staff have been very friendly. Definitely recommend the nachos to start! They also have a good selection of gluten free options that are clearly labeled on the menu.
First time dinner tnite! We sat at the little back bar. Steve the bartender was fantastic - incredible knowledge of the entire menu and his whiskey knowledge unreal. Food was absolutely fabulous. Awesome first visit experience. Can’t wait to return!
