Fantastic Everything was great. The only problem is that it is a golf resort with many of the rooms designated as smoking rooms. Make sure that there is a tag on the door that says "non smoking room" because otherwise it is essentially a smoking room.
Good, not great Great pool, unfortunately the hot tub was out of service. Overall, the room was comfortable but the shower actually had mold. Location was a bit difficult to find using MapQuest directions, especially in the evening.
Are going back in November 08 We have now stayed at the Swan Lake Golf Resort and Spa 3 times since April 08 and are staying again in Nov and are bringing 3 friends. We thoroughly enjoy our stays. The hotel grounds are peaceful and beautiful and the Sam Snead Restaurant is excellent. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Swan Lake to family & friends.
Very nice! This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are very quiet, and the beds are very comfortable. The view of the golf course from our room was great! It's a little tricky to find. Watch for the signs. The only problem we had was housekeeping did not take all of our garbage from the room one day. This would not stop me from staying there again!
Real Nice Place While this hotel may not have the big comfy beds of some of the chains, it is a great hotel for the price. I got it for about $50 less than the HIE in town and it was worth it. Great golf and a nice restaurant on the grounds.
The restaurant was very nice, and fine food was served in a nice atmosphere, with very friendly servers at a late hour on a Saturday night, when we were the only table left. The spa had a very peaceful setting and good services. And the gold course looked nicely designed with a comfortable clubhouse bar and restaurant. ...
Extremely helpful staff We were booked for a Sat. night but were hoping to stay Fri. night as well, despite the resort being fully booked. I called to check on availability while on the drive down and the front desk staff took my cell number and promised to call if anything became available. Nothing did, but we drove down anyway and the staff called several other places looking for a room for us and gave detailed...
Out in the middle of nowhere. Room smelled strongly of mildew, AC unit was non-functional. Besides that it was O.K. and the only place within a reasonable drive from Notre Dame on a game day with vacancies.
A bit out of the way! my dinner at the Sam Snead Grill on Saturday night was not very appitizing. It was a white fish and it was under cooked, not firm. Further, the service was slow. Too bad, otherwise it was a magnificant lace!
