I have been a Montessori teacher in Maryland for the past 10 years. Since moving to Idaho I have been involved with Lighthouse Montessori school in a number of different capacities. I can say without reservation that Lighthouse is one of the finest Montessori schools I have ever seen. Lighthouse Montessori Farm School is everything we've been looking for! The school, situated among 40 beautiful acres of trees, fields and orchards, provides a unique opportunity for learning to take place outdoors. We looked for a school that both our children could attend (we have a 3.5 yr. old and a 2 yr. old). Lighthouse has Early Childhood and Toddler classes. The toddlers don't have to be fully potty-trained either. Both our boys LOVE LOVE LOVE their teachers and love going to school. The Montessori learning style has worked out wonderfully. We are developing a Montessori school in another part of the state. While we were in Idaho Falls, we dropped by (unexpectedly) to see what this school was all about. I can't even begin to describe our astonishment with Laurie and her hard work. She has created a community of well educated and confident children. My son goes here and we just love it! It is more than a school, it is a family. I love the Montessori Method and my son loves going to school. Why would you choose child care when you can have your child in school for about the same price?
