Linda Garrett is the real thing! Linda is direct, straight-forward and doesn't sugarcoat the possibilities of the case. In my circumstance, it was related to a contempt of court charge in family court, related to custody orders. Linda took me through the worst case scenario, the best case scenarios, what she has experienced in her years of practicing law, in addition to making it clear that court cases are never a sure thing, as it is up to the judge and the flow of the day is greatly directed by the judge. Having this insight helped to mentally prepare me for almost every potential possibility. Linda is very thorough, she doesn't want every detail, but she wants the details that matter, the details that best support the case and the facts; which was witnessed in my beautifully written response. Her grammar and punctuation was perfect, and it was very organized, she does an excellent job of making things fit in a linear way, which helps tell the story.Linda has integrity and keeps her word. After our first two encounters, I trusted that she would show-up for me and be on time. Other reviews about lawyers that I read, talked about how they were hard to reach, late, filed the wrong paper and sometimes didn't show-up. Linda Garrett is a first class lawyer!!! Linda assisted me with a contempt of court case, in family law.
On the day of our court appearance, because Linda had filed a response on my behalf, we thought the judge would have reviewed the response and made a decision that morning.
Well, that didn't happen. The judge asked if we wanted to waive our right to a speedy trial, and Linda responded firmly "No". The judge looked at the calendar, and said, can both parties come back today?
I was torn-up inside. This was not apart of our plan. Linda, a blessing from the heavens, moved some things around on her calendar and made it work so that we could appear later that day. I don't know what I would have done if we had to go back another day for the trial.
While there was only the court reporters, the ballif, the judge, my child's father, myself and Linda, it felt like a TV drama.
I was put on the stand, my son's father cross-examined me, Linda asked me questions (which she prepped me for) and after an hour of hearing both sides, the judge dismissed the case due to previous precedent from a former court case.
Linda was professional. She asked all the right questions. She was alert and she stayed engaged with me, allowing her to pick-up on my body language and facial expressions. We were a good team! She made me feel like we were a team!
According to Google, there aren't many great family law attorneys in Solano county, and Linda has great reviews. I even read a couple articles about awards she has received, and I think she was selected as one of the top 10 best lawyers in Solano county (Fairfield).
If you are looking for a lawyer who will put your case, Linda Garrett is the lawyer for you!

Stellar Service!
The "word" court makes my skin crawl, the idea of going to court is terrifying and it is even more terrifying without a layer. In the past, I managed things on my own, and after realizing the importance of having a lawyer, after my son's father service me with contempt of court papers, I ******* lawyers in Solano county. I found Linda Garrett and after reading the stellar reviews on her, I reached out.
Linda offered to provide me with coaching, which would save me money; I thought that was cool. I have never met a lawyer that is interested in empowering their clients and providing additional options.
While the consultation was packed with information, I wanted Linda to represent me, and she did.
She addressed every point that was brought up in the contempt of court claim. Her response was detailed, clear and focused on facts. She was on time, kept our appointments and provided suggestions for future potential encounters with dad.
With her representation, the judge dropped the charges. What a relief?!
Linda is affordable and definitely worth every penny towards my representation.
